Scratch Game Design

I think my user experience influenced my game by wanting the smoothest way for the octopus to move. I think I wanted to do more and make my game like really good but if you played my game you would understand that it isn't all that good so I'm gonna be working on it again and see if i can fix it to be better and possibly make more levels to be more challenging and fun at the same time. Another reason my user experience influenced my game by helping me program my game to be bug free and making it all different.

I think the best features in my games are that they move smooth and easy and that the colors all either contrast and stand out or they have the same color scheme. My personal favorite is the sprites and how they look and the colors they are. Another one of the best features on my game is that they are challenging but fun even though they aren't done

Invention Commercial

My team is Kyllie Belmonte, Alina Puig and me Cara Griffin. Our main goal was to make a product that would be quick and easy to use and it would be able to do your hair for you and it would turn out amazing! (I know it's a little, okay a total crazy idea but it was so fun filming it). We ran into quite a bit of problems but we just went with it and to be honest we had some pretty funny bloopers from Alina but we didn't have enough time because it had to be within 30-50 seconds long so I guess it's okay though :)

I think the best team moment was when we were done filming we all started jumping everywhere because we were stuck in the bathroom for about 2-3 hours so we went totally crazy. After that my mom kicked us out of the house for jumping around to much and said for us to just go on the trampoline so we did but... we brought tons of water balloons on the trampoline and then got soaked in the hose and had to wait outside to dry off for about another hour. I thought just to waste time it would be a brilliant idea to start rolling down our concrete hill but :0 bad idea we went to fast and got rocks implanted in our arms but to be honest it was pretty amazing ;)

When we were editing I went on the computer next to Alina and started looking for sound affects to add for music or like the sound when Alina popped in the shot and it made the cork popping sound. Alina and I also found the music we would put in the background instead of it being just plain voice overs. Kyllie was the one telling us if we should lengthen or shorten the video clips and checked over the final product. All three of us all think that we did a pretty good job over all. The reason why Alina edited on her computer was because on the last project we edited on my computer I picked the music because it was last minute when we realized we needed background sounds and Kyllie overlooked the final product and helped edit because she was the team leader and she decided who did what.

We were also one of the top three winning inventions in the class critique!

Composition Scavenger Hunt

Leading Lines

I think that leading lines is the most important composition technique because as you can see it was the one that my class had the most hard time doing because some of them didn't know what it actually was so they had a hard time filming it for the project. Another reason I think it is important is because leading lines can sometimes look like an illusion and it also can be fun filming it.

The most difficult composition technique I have to say is probably macro because it's hard to get so close to the subject and having to steady it at the same time but then again it's also really fun filming. Another reason why I think macro is the most difficult technique is because Kyllie, Alina and I are the most hyper kids there is so we constantly shake the camera and can't get it to focus.

My teammates for this project were Kyllie Belmonte and
Alina Puig. Alina came up with how we were gonna plan the shots and kyllie came up with the name braidenaider, and last but not least I came up with the idea of a compartment for installing die into it to streak your hair. After all the 3 of us came up with the idea of a braiding wand that does your hair for you any style any time whenever you want.

Cracking the Code

I think that everybody should learn to code because it requires quick thinking and it is a fun challenge. Another reason why I think everybody should learn code is because when your just sitting down you can pull out your computer and do a fun coding challenge it can be an occupier that doesn't take a lot of time. Then after you finish your coding session you get a certificate like the one to the left for completing. Again as I said everyone should learn coding because it requires a good memory so you can remember how to get your little coding character to their destination.

My first experience with code was easy but as you go further into the session it gets harder. Coding is in apps and it is the main building block to making a game like apps on your phone or video games on Wii and x-box. When I first did coding I thought it was really hard and to be honest it was really fun and easy. It was a distraction and I lost track of time and soon it was the end of class.

If I could design any program or game I would make a game that anybody would enjoy no matter what age. The game would be based on going through a maze and collecting little gadgets but the catch is that they are mystery gadgets so you wouldn't know if the prize is gonna be nothing or possibly explode on you and if you tunnel deeper into the maze you have to be careful you don't get trapped in the dead end . Also the further you travel through the maze the prizes go from nothing and explosions to pieces of maps telling you the way out and sometimes secret passages that are like short cuts but the catch to this is you never know what the passages hold and it might be a trick to where you have to search for the key to unlock the door out of the maze and if not you have to get out of the tunnel and start over.

My Humorous Monologue

In this project we learned how to work in iMovie and make fabulous videos like our comedic monologue. I enjoyed doing this project because it was a challenge but at the same time it was easy because I knew how to do it from last year. We also learned how to pad and uploading our monologue into the server folder and my favorite part was watching all of the videos on the big screen and judging to see who has the best movie.

So your probably wondering what the heck is pad, well padding is when for example if your in iMovie padding is when you extend the movie to your desired length to make it appealing. Another reason why padding is good is because I believe it makes the movie or video look better and also it can alter the length of the video and during this project we use padding quite a lot to shorten and lengthen our b-roll (footage).

Some of my weaknesses in this project is that I had a harder time with shooting the b-roll because I turned it in late and did it at last minute and to be honest I think it turned out pretty good even though it was late. Some of my strengths are that I have some experience from last year with working in iMovie and with all of the tools in the program. I think that some ways to improve with this project is we could add more b-roll and for me I think I should improve it by maybe fixing my b-roll to make it match up and make it better in every way just to get a better grade and make it better so people want to watch it again and again.

Comedy Writing

Sense of humor is an important trait because it is important to make everybody happy all the time because you are happy. I believe that humor is contagious when somebody is happy everybody seems to be happy. Sense of humor isn't just being happy all of the time part of it is your just part of your personality. My sister thinks that if your all smiles and laughing all the time you either got a problem or your just slightly autistic, but honestly there is nothing wrong with that it's totally normal because isn't everybody like that unless your like completely EMO and have absolutely no emotion. ;)

Now I will give you 5 tips on how to write a humorous or funny narrative. Number one you always need to make your joke appropriate for your audience depending on if it's children or just adults. Number two you need to be funny. Number three you need to know your jokes and try not to stutter unless it's part of your joke. Number four you need to make eye contact and last but not least, Number five you need to make sure that even if you have a microphone on that the whole audience front to back can hear you clearly with no problem.

My comedic monologue is about my sister, and how I hate it when she does my nails she does it either to chunky or to thin and it just smudges and washes right off. I think that my comedic monologue is funny because most girls can relate to me like seriously younger sibling painting your nails isn't very pretty they completely ruin the whole thing and paint everywhere but they still they do a pretty good job for their first time I guess :0 . Another reason why I think my monologue is funny is because at least everybody has had that moment where you forget like everything and you have to ask the person to repeat what they said over and over again it's actually pretty funny if your the person watching your friend forget what they were saying unless it's you then it's no longer funny.

Motivational Poster

The requirements for the motivational poster are to have your manifesto, your personal quotes, three symbolic images and a self portrait of your face. For design requirements you need to have both of your text layers kerned across the page so that there aren't any blank spots or and holes. You need to have 2 accent colors and 1 dominant color to make it look visually balanced. Lastly you would need to have blending options and adjustment layers on all of your 4 images.

The first thing I did to make my motivational poster was I put the photo's in the photoshop document and then I started to write my motivational quotes and my manifesto then you start kerning. Kerning is adjusting the space between the letters to make it visually pleasing. For the kerning you have to make the text look like a blanket completely covering the page. Then you adjust the colors of the pictures to match your triadic color scheme. The colors that I picked were blue, yellow, and a red pink color. After that you have to pick the colors for your text layers to make it pop out and so you can see it better.

My biggest challenge when we did this project was I didn't finish it I had the text layers to color then I would be done but I didn't have enough time to finish it so I had to turn it in as it was. Luckily Mr.Sanderl gave us some extra time to finish kerning the next day so I figured that it would be a good time to finish up the coloring of the text layers and for now I am still figuring out what color I should do it (it's so complicating but so much fun). Overall in my finished product looks pretty good to me. :)

Personal Manifesto

Some interesting about me are one I like to ride my motorcycle because it is amazing and I like to ride. Second of all I enjoy jumping off of the waterfall into the water.I also enjoy playing soccer because you have to be quick and fast in order to play. Lastly I like to draw I like to draw because I can put my thoughts on paper and let it flow free.

Live your life how you want to live it not how other people want you to live. Do what you love all day every day. If you don't like the things you do then don't do them. Life doesn't need to be this hard make it easier for yourself enjoy your life don't dread it. Make every moment count don't let anybody bring you down no matter what they say. Sometimes getting lost can help you find the things you need most in your life. Believing is the first secret success. Life is short be faithful and be happy smile every day. Never take no for an answer

I think that my manifesto relates to my readers because it is inspirational and motivational it also gives you confidence. Another reason why I think my manifesto relates to my readers is because I think that they can understand from where I'm coming from by the quotes that I chose saying that you should never let anybody bring you down and that is the biggest thing that I live up to because when I was still in elementary school I used to get teased because I hang out with the kids that hang back and we usually are the ones that are more quiet and keep to ourselves so the other "popular" kids would tease us because we had different personalities and we were considered different from everybody else. That's why I now can say never ever let anybody bring you down and always stand up for yourself no matter what.

Animation Outtakes

In our new animation project we had to pick our own teammates and make an animation based on their life or life experiences. Our animation is Farmers support community. My teammates are Daileen, Michael, and Zephen. Some interesting facts are that Daileen is a farmer, Michael moved here from florida, and Zephen plays football and soccer.

So stop motion animation is when for example someone is walking the person has to take a step and you take a picture then they take another step you also take a picture then you repeat the process until you have about maybe ten pictures then you can play it on the camera or put it in photoshop to animate it. After you have it all set up you can play your animation and it looks as if the person is just sliding across the screen. If you saw the bouncing ball int he beginning of this post that is a GIF. A GIF is when in this case the ball is bouncing across the screen you have to make it in photoshop so you separate the sky from the ground the you make a ball you would the have to make a new slide and move the ball slightly and you would repeat the process until the ball moves completely out of the screen or it can roll back down a hill.

In our animation we are telling the story about how farmers like Daileen support the community and the process of growing and caring for the plants. I believe that people should take this into consideration because of the fact that there are many GMO crops. GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organisms these are when the plants are man made  and they make the foods look bigger but to be honest they natural ones aren't pumped with chemicals and they taste better so that's why you should care about the crops and for your own safety of eating the chemicals.

Our Animation story

Recently we have been assigned a new project and we had to make an animation plus we also had to work with people that we never worked with before. My teammates are Daileen, Michael, and Zephen. Our story is on how farming supports the agriculture and the communities. For our animations we chose to do stop motion and animating in photoshop and stykz animation. In our animation Daileen is caring for the plants and getting ready to harvest after that she would take it to the market to sell with her family.

Some lessons that the audience would learn is that " Hard work pays off ". This means that when for example when my team and it took time and effort to make our animation project . I believe that people will enjoy our little animation we had a lot of fun making it and of course it was totally worth it. In the animation we all took some footage and Daileen was the one who edited it and Michael made the animation  in stykz. Zephen and I made the white board animation of the kealia farm market.

Some of the teams best moments were when we finally got some stop motion animation done that was a huge relief and to honest we took a lot of photos but some of it was we were playing around and having fun we actually put some of pictures that we were playing around in the animation it worked out well and we were the 2nd team to turn in our animation. Some of the worst moments as a team is when nobody could film for the whole week and we were freaking out until we took some last minute photos and well it worked out better than we thought. Some other amazing moments as a team are that we actually never had anything planned out until last minute and it worked out pretty well.

Double Exposed Portraits

Portrait photography is a picture of someones face and sometimes a background and the full body like when you take pictures with your family you would take family portraits for maybe christmas cards or special times when you family comes for dinner or a special occasion. It can relate to a profile view and silhouetting by a profile is like a picture of someones face but only seen on one side but it's still a picture of a face. Silhouetting is related because it is an image of an animal, person, or an object in a scene that represents a solid shape or singular color. All of it relates by a profile being a picture of someones side of their face, silhouetting being a picture of animals ,people , and sometimes objects but each of them mean a picture of a persons face.

Double exposures are created in photoshop by taking a couple pictures of textures and a profile of someones face and you use the dodge tool in photoshop to outline your face in white so you can make it into a multi exposure picture also so you can see texture in the background

HDR Photography

HDR Photography is a layer of multiple pictures and it makes the lights and darks come out and makes the picture more vibrant with bright lights and dark shadows. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. What I like about HDR is that it makes the pictures I take stand out and it makes my pictures I take look more nicer. If I were to take a picture of a really dark picture HDR takes multiple and   makes the dark picture even out to look better than the original. What I dislike about it is that some times the picture doesn't turn out to be what I wanted and I can't control  what color I want to stand out unless I do it in photo shop.

You can create an HDR image by taking multiple pictures of the same thing and opening up Photoshop to layer them and then you can change the functions and settings to make it look unique and realistic. It is different from automatic because the automatic one you can't customize it unlike the step by step one you can create it to your own taste of colors and style.

What I was thinking for my pictures were I was wanting to make the sky look a brilliant blue and make the colors stand out so I wanted to make it unreal.
