MOV Film Festival

The keywords connect with the audience because of what words were chosen and how they kind of explain what our movie trailer is all about. Another reason why our keywords can connect with our audience is because they are constantly in the narration and they kind of pull you into the story and help you relate to it easier because at one point you or a friend has been bullied before and what we're trying to say in the film is to treat people the way you want to be treated without expecting something in return.

Our overall message is like I said in the 1st paragraph to try and tell people to treat people like you would yourself. Also we wanted to do this film from the bullies point of view (played by Jaesha Mata)and to tell the story from her eyes and also the eyes of the victim (played by Kyllie Belmonte). What my team and I have learned over filming and writing scripts is that we each individually have had experience with bullies and we have overcome it with friends.

The biggest challenge that we faced was getting everyone together to film the scenes. Also, while we were filming one shot we were getting attacked by mosquitoes because we were completely surrounded by trees and bushes also little puddles of water. The other big challenge was getting the shots ready and keeping the camera steady like on one scene we had to film it on a trampoline and you know how hard filming on a trampoline is unless you want to have a shaky shot and it's supposed to look like that. Overall the biggest challenge was filming because it took forever like 3 hours for a 2-3 minute film and we still don't have enough film to be completely done.

Character Development

I am the type of person that can be outgoing and has a lot of energy. I enjoy playing soccer and sometimes go to the beach. Some imperfections that I have are trying to make everything perfect because I have partial OCD and being a perfectionist and all I can't go by a day without having a mental breakdown and having to fix everything all over again. For example I have a set of pens that is color coordinated and the tips are perfect and my sister decided she wanted to use them the problem was she doesn't lightly draw with the pens, she SMASHES them until there's pretty much NOTHING left!

Some character traits I plan to exaggerate are being a perfectionist and having mental breakdowns over everything. Some other things that I plan to exaggerate and make myself look life like and possibly animating to make everything look as real as possible and then again at the same time make it look animated. While helping put input into my partners animations. For Kacie we would make her insecure and kind of exaggerate her obsessions like youtube and of course marvel. For Raja we would have her cartwheel all over the place because she does gymnastics.

The step by step process of creating the GIF is to first of all cutting out your picture from your background and making an animation. Next you have to start moving your character while making other frames and adding puppet warp by going to edit and puppet warp. Next you have to start adding your points and voila, you have an animated GIF. I personally like my GIF character because of how I animated it and yes it does look like I'm trying to fly but it was fun to make and overall it turned out better than I would have thought.
